The Rick Perry Videos Are Multiplying
Now that we’re just days away from the Texas governor getting into the 2012 presidential race on a more public basis, we’re starting to see the YouTubes pile up.
Here’s a pro-Perry video, put out by a group called Students For Rick Perry…
Of course, he has his detractors.
The students tell a little more compelling tale, though Perry probably will want to have a story ready on the Huawei business once it gets picked up by the national media – they’ll make that the Iran-Contra scandal of his candidacy before he’s done.

The Huawei thing is stuff of Alex Jones types. The governor welcomes an investment and opening of an office in his state, nothing more and nothing less.
Sure beats the way that Gov. Mike Foster met with owners of Westlake Petrochemicals after they invested over $1 billion in Louisiana. The rumors of him “dissing” them in a meeting set up by my wife’s uncle, who was general legal counsel for Westlake at the time, are true. They invested not a dime more was invested in Louisiana after that meeting, until Foster was out of office.
For those who are unaware, the supposedly “pro business” Foster meeting with Westlake went like this…
They arrived at Foster’s office. His secretary notified him. He came out in dressed in a golf shirt and said something to the effect, “Hi, glad ya’ll built that complex here.” Then turned around and went back into his office, leaving them standing there.
After that, instead of building more in Louisiana, they built new plants in Kentucky, even after they had purchased several plants, had them dismantled and shipped to Lake Charles for re-erection.
Perry can overcome this, but he needs to get out in front of it. Trump, the opportunist and potential spoiler for Obama, will try to beat Perry over the head with it should he quickly rise to the top of the GOP hopefuls.
That said, I think Perry’s support of Algore could hurt him more than anything. The Progs will make hay out of that, so he needs to address it quickly. Opposition researchers are digging furiously…
I totally agree my friend.
Do you mean that his support of a then conservative, Al Gore is not comparable to Ronald Reagan being head of a union?
All this hooey about Perry in the clip is a from a fellow who is trying to out Alex Jones, Alex Jones. He’s also against the Keystone XL pipeline as some sort of Chinese invasion of the U.S. Pure Looney Tunes.
Please don’t misunderstand, CitizenKH. I think Rick Perry will be the nominee and Genag and I will go to the mat for him. Nevertheless, like Reagan did with the union, Perry will have to deal with his support for Gore, in ’88. Unless he does, it will be spun and that’s a fact because the average voter has the attention span and memory of a gnat. Gore morphed into someone vastly different from what he was, in ’88, and few remember that earlier incarnation.
He was also known as a super duper budget hawk back then, nothing but slash and burn the desire of other to write checks.
True he will have to address this for the general attention span of gnats general public.
