Didn’t the left compare Bush to Hitler numerous times? AND nothing happened? I understand why ESPN was pressured into this. Free speech is still in the Constitution isn’t it? Maybe not.
Free speech doesn’t shield you from the consequences of your speech. Note he isn’t being arrested or tortured or assassinated for his speech. ESPN doesn’t by law have to have Hank Williams Jr.’s annoying rednecky song as its opening theme song. Because of what he said they chose not to continue using it. I don’t see how this equates to a clampdown on free speech. By the way Susie I’m not an Obama supporter, I just loathe him for different reasons than you do, for reasons you would have if you were smart enough and perceptive enough to take the blinders off. Obama is a conservative. Open conservatives like McCain and barely-disguised conservatives like Obama are all you are allowed to choose between. Ergo, America is not a genuine democracy. But you don’t have to worry about being arrested for comparing two conservatives like Obama and Hitler. Not yet at least, unless the government gives us Patriot Act III: the Revenge.
Well that redneck trash got one thing right: they’re both on the conservative side of the political spectrum, both just puppets of their respective countries’ big business bourgeoisie. Other than that there isn’t much comparison.
I wouldn’t call anybody else trash with a moniker like that.
An honest moniker that calls it like it is. America is the biggest dung pile in the developed world, bar none. Let’s see… Worst health care system in the developed world; worst educational system in the developed world; most ridiculously kangaroo court judicial system in the developed world; most belligerent country in the developed world; 25% of its children go to bed hungry at night; easily the most unrepresentative, most corrupt government in the developed world where you can pick your favorite conservative puppet of the billionaires but nobody who isn’t a conservative puppet of the billionaires; and third-world levels of income inequality. If that isn’t a country that sucks there aren’t any.
