The rape of the little boy was evil, but the best thought McQueary could muster was that it was wrong. He, therefore, ran to Daddy because being steeped in moral relativism and situational ethics left him confused and prevented noble action, on his part: stopping the rape by, at the very least, yelling for Sandusky to stop; calling law enforcement and also demanding an ambulance. It’s unclear if McQueary had a cell phone handy, but, if not, he should have grabbed the child, wrapped him in a towel and, with the child in tow, gone on a search for a phone. Might McQueary have been drummed out of the graduate assistant program for ripping the lid off Pandora’s Box? Maybe, but I doubt it.
