…but I don’t think it’s anything new. The photos have been out there for a few weeks now.
Seriously, though, if Drudge does have somethin’ it’ll be an Obama somethin’. We know this because Business Insider tells us so…
The Drudge Report, the heavily-trafficked blog run by conservative Matt Drudge, is up with a new headline hyping a “sex scandal to hit campaign…” According to Drudge, the story is “developing.”
Drudge, a close personal friend of Mitt Romney’s campaign manager Matt Rhoades, has hyped up several exclusive news stories during the 2012 campaign cycle, most of which have fallen flat. So our hopes aren’t too high for his latest report.
UPDATE: Now the rumor is that it’s not the presidential campaign. It’s a senatorial campaign. And the Daily Caller is gonna break it. Drudge says…
STORY SAID TO INVOLVE POWERFUL SENATOR, SOURCES TELL DRUDGE. DAILY CALLER PLANS LATE NIGHT RELEASE…
And the rumor is that the Senator in question is Menendez, the Democrat outta New Jersey.
Who’s a tool, by the way.
The skinny…
Here’s what I’m hearing. And bear in mind, I’m merely hearing it.
The story involves a Senator flying down to a big donor’s place in the Caribbean for orgies. Hookers are involved.
The One Big Snag in the story is that the story comes from hookers — a couple of them, I hear — and their credibility is, well. They’re hookers. It’s not Gold Standard.
Well, I guess I shouldn’t call them “hookers.” Let’s say “escorts.”
Escorts, for your penis.
They’re miffed because they didn’t get fully paid for services rendered.
Always pay your foreign hookers for services rendered at big donor sex orgies.
Always pay your foreign hookers for services rendered at big donor sex orgies.
Don’t they teach nobody nothin’ no more?
UPDATE: Robert Stacy McCain has more. Basically, if you’re a moral degenerate Democrat who plies his trade on Capitol Hill, stay the hell away from Hispaniola if you know what’s good for you…
UPDATE: Shortly after the Drudge Report headline went up, my associate Ali Akbar got a tip that the story involved Sen. Menendez of New Jersey and at least one prostitute with whom he trysted on a taxpayer-funded trip to the Dominican Republic. Within one hour, Akbar had confirmed this with other sources, and we understand that numerous reporters in D.C. have heard similar reports.
UPDATE II: Some online sources are saying underaged Dominican hookers, but Ali’s sources cannot confirm the age of the alleged partner.
There’s a Republican runnin’ against Menendez. His name’s Joe Kyrillos. Nobody has given that dude much of a shot.’
– Menendez 52, Kyrillos 30 Stockton Polling Institute 10/12-18
– Menendez 55, Kyrillos 37 Quinnipiac Univ. 10/10-14
– Menendez 49, Kyrillos 35 Inquirer/GSG (D)/Nat’l Research (R) 10/4-8
– Menendez 49, Kyrillos 34 Monmouth Univ./Asbury Park Press 9/19-23
– Menendez 50, Kyrillos 36 Fairleigh Dickinson Univ. 9/6-12
Menendez was runnin’ away with this thing, but it’s not like his lead is totally insurmountable if it comes out less than a week before the election that he was diddlin’ the Third World kinder. That’s the kinda thing that would whack almost anybody. Might make a race there after all.
UPDATE #2: Oh, my. “He called himself Bob…”
Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.
In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.
The women spoke through a translator in the company of their attorney, Melanio Figueroa. Both asked that their identities remain obscured for fear of reprisals in the Dominican Republic.
When shown a photograph of Sen. Menendez, the women said they recognized him as the man with whom they’d had sexual relations at Casa de Campo this spring. Both said they were brought to the resort with the understanding they would be paid for sex.
Neither knew the identity of the man at the time. Both claimed to recognize him later as Sen. Menendez.
“He called him[self] ‘Bob,’” said one.
This isn’t gonna go well for Menendez. Because in the middle of the whole state tryin’ to dig out from their version of Katrina he’s gotta give a press conference and say “My bad.”
Menendez’ staff so far is followin’ the playbook…
Asked about the allegations, Menendez spokeswoman Tricia Enright refused to answer any questions on the subject. “We’re not going to respond to a completely false accusation,” she wrote by email.
Ehhhh…I don’t think so. With what they’ve got there, this might end up bein’ a pastime for the folks there, and everybody’ll talk about it while waitin’ in line to get gas for the generator.
