Naturally, the threat of an EMP or a massive solar flare or even a cyber or terror attack to the grid hasn’t been addressed by our political leaders in any major way – we’ll just wait for disaster to strike and then we’ll deal with the fallout. Because it’s much more interesting to debate a government giveaway program than to protect what we already have and depend on.
