Nursing Home Director Arrested After Allegedly Covering Up Rape Of 78 Year-Old Elderly Woman

Following the rape of a 78 year-old woman living in a nursing home, the Mandeville Police Department has now arrested the director of the facility after she allegedly destroyed evidence pertaining to the rape and did not report the incident to the police.

Associate Program Services Director for the Beau Provence Memory Care Facility, 55 year-old Julie Henry, was told of the rape by the assisted living facility’s staff after 58 year-old Jerry Kan raped the elderly woman.

Henry allegedly told staff members to not report the rape to the authorities and destroyed evidence of the rape that was given to her by the facility’s staff.

Kan was arrested by police last week by Mandeville Police on first degree rape charges.
