This site is intended to be a group blog along the lines of a Redstate.com or BigGovernment.com. As such, the Hayride seeks quality contributors of all political persuasions. We require an informed point of view and solid writing skills, but otherwise if you’ve got something to say we’re happy to supply a platform and a vehicle from which you can say it.

This invitation includes, but isn’t limited to:

1. Political leaders and candidates. If you’re a politician and you’d like to make your position known on a particular issue, or if you’re a candidate looking for exposure, please feel free to use The Hayride for those purposes. We can’t guarantee a friendly hearing; that’s up to our readers and commenters. But you can’t get any more fair treatment than the ability to communicate to the public in your own words.

2. Advocacy groups. If you’ve got a political cause you’d like to spread the word about, consider us an outlet. We’re open to event announcements, position statements and particularly educational and research material.

3. Independent bloggers. Want to promote your blog? Cross-post your updates here and watch your traffic increase as ours does.
