A Government Of Laws?

Illegal adj: 1.) prohibited by law 2.) prohibited by official rules.

The United States is a great country. The recognition of this is without question. Only here are all men believed to be created as equals. India, as well as England, has a caste (class) structure defining an individual’s place in society and public life. He is almost assured to never be able to step beyond the position he /she was born to in some people’s eyes.

But, in America (as John Adams so rightly said): We have “a government of laws and not of men”. That means we don’t follow the whims of demagogues believing themselves demigods and setting themselves above the law because of an exalted position such as King, Potentate, Emperor, President or Legislator. The law is meant to reign supremely as a definition of justice and right action.

It’s not anybody’s right to decide solely by the weight of their elected office which laws will, and will not be enforced. It is not even their right to decide the weight of law to be enforced. That means it’s not their right to say which is a misdemeanor and which is a felony.

The Preamble to the Declaration of Independence states: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

This means ALL men are equal, they hold human rights. But, nowhere does it say that they’re entitled to coverage by the Bill of Rights as Americans.

The United States is a sovereign nation, an autonomous and free nation, meaning we accept NO outside law or legal system above or beyond our own. And in this knowledge (and associated with the words of John Adams) we can’t set aside our law because ANY leader finds it disadvantageous to enforce the law, which is his responsibility.

This is what’s happening in the matter of Illegal Immigration. There are laws and regulations in place for immigration into this country either temporarily or permanently. These laws were properly and lawfully made extant in jurisprudence for all time or at least until such time as it’s lawfully changed by Congress. The President can’t legally or morally alter the enforcement of these laws.

But that hasn’t stopped Obama and his appointees from issuing edicts devaluating the law and removing the enforcement “teeth” from organizations funded by taxpayer dollars and for the protection of those same taxpayers. Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement have issued orders to NOT enforce certain aspects of law. Obama has devaluated the law by proclaiming illegal immigration is NOT a felony and thus we need time to develop “Comprehensive Immigration Law”.

This broken record is getting tedious for the lie it hides. This is political speak for waste more time and reward law breakers by giving them amnesty for their violation of those laws. If Congress hasn’t been able to develop “comprehensive immigration control” in the last thirty years: what makes this guy think he can do it.

Congress obviously doesn’t want Immigration Control.
