Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), said the international community should “come out of hiding from behind the excuse of freedom of expression”, a reference to Western arguments against a universal blasphemy law that the OIC has sought for over a decade.

In virtually all of those countries it’s quite common to see violence and repression of non-Muslims. In virtually all of them there is no economy to speak of outside of the extraction of oil and natural gas – such extraction which would not happen outside of the involvement and technical acumen of Christian Westerners. In none of those countries do women enjoy any particular legal protections – in most of them they’re treated as little more than chattel.

Also, in virtually none of those countries is agricultural production sufficient to feed the population.

In short, membership in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is an admission you’re a nation of losers on the world stage.

And yet the thugs who run these countries are doing their best to attempt to stifle the liberties of those of us who don’t live in the world’s Muslim trashpiles. OIC has been pushing a UN resolution which would outlaw “blasphemy” of Islam, and the U.S. State Department has stupidly given mixed signals on the subject rather than to slap it down with the vigorous contempt it deserves.

It might well be an indictment of the Obama administration that the OIC is even attempting to push this idiocy. Frankly, considering that OIC has adopted a resolution demanding that human rights be seen through the prism of Sharia law – and Sharia violates every principle of human rights people who are serious about the concept recognizes – it’s about time that we recognize this gaggle of slimeballs for the hostile organization it is and act accordingly.

Because this business of attempting to stop Christians in Christian countries from telling Muslims what we think of their barbaric practices and self-evident deficiencies is an attempt to impose Sharia here in America and in other countries where the people reject it. It would be arrogance in the extreme for them to do this even if they demonstrated their societies were worthy of that kind of influence. For example, American cultural influence is deserved. British cultural influence is deserved. Kazakh cultural influence and Pakistani cultural influence is not. Take your Sharia and shove it up your ass; it’s the reason your countries are the world’s worst places and the reason they always will be.

Boycotting their products would be a decent idea. Particularly since, because we’re not animals like they are, burning their embassies is out of the question.
