Jindal’s Tax Tour Hits First Stop In Houma, Picks Up Friendly Notice From WDSU

To sell his idea for reforming the state’s tax code to eliminate the income tax, Gov. Bobby Jindal is now out on the road making a pitch to business groups and others. He’ll be making a statewide tour to sell the package, which at present looks like it has some major headwinds to navigate on its way to a 2/3rds vote in both houses.

But in Houma yesterday, it looks like Jindal managed a decent success. If for no other reason, he sure did get a positive TV segment on WDSU/Channel 6 out of New Orleans…

That might be the best notice out of a mainstream media outlet in Louisiana Jindal has yet received. He’ll need lots more if he’s going to tie together the various constituencies who all seem to be finding ways to poke holes in the plan.
