From an e-mail the Louisiana Democrat Party blasted out today comes something we got a chuckle out of. That organization’s executive director Stephen Handwerk, who lacks the requisite facial hair to be Santa Claus but could pass for an elf, is asking his e-mail list to vote for who the “naughtiest” and “nicest” political figures in the state have been this year.
Try not to sprain your neck shaking your head at this…
The nominations are in, and here are the finalists for the Louisiana Democratic Party’s Naughty and Nice List!
NAUGHTY:
- Gov. Bobby Jindal
- Sen. David Vitter
- U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy
- U.S. Rep. John Fleming
- Tony Perkins
GEAUX VOTE FOR THE NAUGHTIEST OF 2013!
NICE:
- Sen. Mary Landrieu
- State Rep. John Bel Edwards
- State Rep. Katrina Jackson
- State Rep. Stephen Ortego
- Mayor Cedric Glover
GEAUX VOTE FOR THE NICEST OF 2013!
Louisiana Democrats are moving our state forward and fighting for our working families. Meanwhile, Louisiana Republicans were at the forefront of the GOP shutdown, and leaders like Jindal and Cassidy have stubbornly refused to support expanded access to affordable health care for Louisianians.
I think all of our Louisiana Democrats should be on the NICE list — but there can be only one winner… geaux vote now!
Stephen Handwerk
Executive Director, Louisiana Democratic Party
That’s the kind of professional, serious messaging that builds a competitive political party…isn’t it?
