I’m as big a defender of the 2nd Amendment as you’re going to find. But these kids are total morons, and they’re proving absolutely nothing with this. Walking around a downtown area of a small town with a loaded AR-15 slung on your back in an effort to draw the attention of the police is creating a public nuisance, and any reasonable person would understand that.

They aren’t furthering the cause of 2nd Amendment rights. The cop absolutely is, and he ought to be commended for it, but provocations like this scare the hell out of ordinary people and they actually build support for gun control and the limitation of freedom.
