VIDEO: Garret Graves On Bayou Time

Last night we had the video from last week of Paul Dietzel giving a speech at RedState, where he received Erick Erickson’s endorsement. Today, we’ve got video from last night in which Dietzel’s Republican opponent Garret Graves went down to Houma to do an interview with Martin Folse of HTV during last night’s Bayou Time show.

It’s an interesting interview. A couple of the more salient points Graves made are (1) his experience as a congressional staffer and as head of the state’s coastal restoration authority mean he’s going to have a lot shorter learning curve than his opponents upon arriving in Congress, which is certainly true, and (2) it’s important to move power out of Washington back to the states because, after all, California has 53 seats in the House while Louisiana only has six, and the more Congress gets to govern rather than state and local governments the more California can impose its values on Louisiana. Which, of course, is not a good thing for us – after all, there are more people moving out of California than moving in, which indicates California’s values and governing model isn’t all that successful.

If you’ve got 16 minutes to spare, it’s worth a look…
