Duck Dynasty Cousin Endorses Ralph Abraham In 5th District Race

As Republican Ralph Abraham and Democrat Jamie Mayo head into the December run-off election for the 5th Congressional District, the Duck Dynasty cousin of the primary race is coming out to throw support behind Abraham.

Zach Dasher, who came in third with about 22 percent of the vote in the 5th District race, announced his endorsement for Arbaham today in the Monroe-News Star, calling Abraham the “most conservative candidate” in the race.

“I want to thank my supporters and take this opportunity to ask you to join me in my support of Dr. Ralph Abraham. Dr. Abraham is a hard worker and a disciplined man. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Dr. Abraham over the last several months and can say that he is the most conservative candidate in the race. Please join me helping Ralph Abraham become our next Congressman for the 5th District.”

In the Nov. 4th election, Mayo lead the race with 28 percent of the vote, while Abraham followed with 23 percent. The chances for Abraham are already up, as he will most likely take the votes from the other five Republican candidates in the race, while Mayo was the only Democrat in the race to begin with.
