The Black Conservatives Fund Is Setting Up Camp In Louisiana

Our friend Ali Akbar, a long-time conservative activist and blogger who has been fighting against the Democrats’ monopoly of the black vote for years, has a new temporary home here in Louisiana. Ali is in Baton Rouge working with the Black Conservatives Fund, a PAC aimed at changing the demographic dynamic in American elections to the Democrats’ detriment.

The BCF has a trailer out on the Cassidy-Landrieu runoff. You might recognize the voiceover…

Yes, that’s C.L. Bryant pitching in. He’s on the board of BCF, along with other notable figures like K. Carl Smith, Sonnie Johnson, Alonzo Rachel, Erik Rush, Anita Moncrief and Kenneth Blackwell.

Akbar says he’s building a ground game in the black community to eat in to Mary Landrieu’s support. BCF’s exploits include running TV and radio ads, conducting get-out-the vote drives and funding any other activities their endorsed candidates need.
