Here’s What Mary Landrieu Is Up To These Days

It has been a while since we last heard from Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA). Here at the Hayride, we have not reported on Landrieu since news floated around the liberal blog-osphere that the Southern Democrat could run for governor, though that is highly unlikely.

Landrieu, though, will soon be stepping out in the spotlight, but not for long.

Southern University of New Orleans (SUNO) has asked Landrieu to be their keynote speaker at their commencement ceremony in May for the class of 2015.

SUNO’s reason for bringing Landrieu on board is because of her supposed efforts in helping the university after Hurricane Katrina, which will mark 10 years this year.

Our guess is that college graduates will mostly remember Landrieu as that politician from those constant stream of Youtube ads that were run against her last year by conservative groups and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
