On KPEL-96.5 FM Radio in Lafayette this morning. I sound despondent and infuriated for two reasons; first, I have not recovered from the stupidity of yesterday’s histrionics at the House Appropriations Committee wherein college kids screamed about cuts to higher education with inarticulate and unpersuasive arguments, and second, the five-month-old puppy who plays an inordinate role in my life would not cease bringing me his rubber-chicken squeaky toy while I was on the air (which you can actually hear around the 9-minute mark).
As to the substance of the discussion, I stand by it.
For reference, we’re essentially talking about two posts on the Hayride from yesterday – this one from Kevin Boyd on the college kids and their tantrums and this one from me about the “nuclear option bill.”
