John Osterlind, arguably the most honest and wittiest radio host in New Orleans, may soon be making a comeback to radio.
The Hayride readers may remember back earlier in the year when Osterlind was suddenly ousted from his WRNO-New Orleans afternoon radio show, despite having a top-five show on the station and a recent ratings bonus.
But, that could all be changing very soon, as everyone’s favorite libertarian funny man could be coming back to the airwaves. Here’s what Osterlind posted to his Facebook page:
During about the same time that Osterlind was ousted from his radio show, the Times Picayune announced that they were cutting their only conservative columnist James Varney.
At the time, it seemed like a purge of conservative and libertarian voices in the city, as we have yet to hear what Osterlind and Varney think about the uptick in crime, the monuments debacle and Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s recent proposal to hike street parking rates.
