This week, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry President Stephen Waguespack makes a return appearance to chat with Scott McKay and Brian Haldane. He talks about the benefits of waiting until later in the year to call a 2nd Special Legislative Session. Waguespack asks if we even really need a 2nd Special Session, and explains why scheduling one for June is problematic.
He also talks about changing the tone in the budgeting process from one of poor mouthing to get more money to instead rewarding those who can show they are capable of getting the job done with less.
The guys ask him what he’s like to see happen in the remaining days of this Legislative session, and he addresses what is happening to Louisiana’s reputation as “a place to do business.”
