Here Are The New U.S. Senate Race Ads That Are Dropping Today

Three U.S. Senate candidates are releasing TV ads today.

First up, front-runner John Kennedy has released his first TV ad and it certainly will be memorable.

Among the most memorable lines in the folksy, populist ad is that he would rather drink weedkiller than being in the “DC insider club.”

Speaking of Kennedy, he and Charles Boustany have been whacking each other over Boustany’s little hooker problem. Here’s Boustany and Kennedy whacking each other on the issue on Fox News.

Here comes John Fleming with his newest ad calling both of them a couple of children having a food fight and how he is the adult in the room.

This is a very good ad by Fleming. It portrays him as a serious candidate while at the same time tying himself to Donald Trump, who is popular in this state.

Finally, here’s the first ad by Abhay Patel.

It’s an intro ad that’s running in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge TV markets. It touches on Patel’s business experience and his outsider credentials. It’s a follow up to a nearly 3 minute video Patel released online.

Given the narrow margins in the race, if Patel puts some money behind this ad campaign, he can move in the polls. This is a year where people are sick of politicians and Patel can tap into it more than others.
