If you’re in southwestern Louisiana, you’re going to want to save Wednesday, September 12 as a date to remember – and you’ll want to make your plans to be at the Pioneer Club that evening to join us for The Hayride’s 2018 Truth And Consequences Tour stop in Lake Charles. We’ve got a great lineup of speakers and a terrific evening planned you won’t want to miss.

Three heavy hitters are on board to headline the event as speakers.
State Representative Blake Miguez (R-Erath) is perhaps the fastest-rising conservative superstar in the Louisiana legislature. Miguez, known as a 2nd Amendment activist before taking his legislative seat in 2016 (he’s a champion target shooter who appeared on TV’s Top Shot All-Stars program), has made his bones as a fiscal conservative and anti-tax advocate in his time in the legislature and we think he’s destined for more.
State Senator Sharon Hewitt (R-Slidell) has gone even further, doing battle directly with Gov. John Bel Edwards on the question of his out-of-control spending and giving perhaps the best speech in defense of the Louisiana taxpayer anyone has seen in the past several years at the end of the last legislative session in June. She’s a former oil company executive who actually understands economics and finance, which makes her a standout at the State Capitol – and she’s also a graduate of Barbe High School returning to her old stomping grounds.
ISC Constructors CEO Eddie Rispone made waves last week by announcing he’s putting together an exploratory committee in preparation for a possible 2019 Louisiana gubernatorial run. But that’s hardly Rispone’s first foray into Louisiana politics – he’s been a champion of conservative causes in the state for years, including the fight for school choice, countless efforts to elect conservatives to offices all over Louisiana, the St. George incorporation effort and efforts to counter leftist organizations like Together Louisiana.
