Oy Vey: 98 Democrats say it’s ‘Cruel and Unscientific’ to define “legal sex” by biology

Here we go… 98 Democrats from the U.S. House sent a statement to President Trump stating it’s “cruel and unscientific” to define a person’s legal sex by their biology.

They sent the letter to Department of Health and Human Services after learning that the Trump administration was revising an Obama-era rule under Title IV. The policy would formally clarify that people’s biological sex would determine the basis for sexual discrimination lawsuits.

The Democrats complained that Trump’s “biology-determines-sex” policy:

“makes it clear that members of this administration are willing to … solidify an archaic, dogmatic, and alarming view of the world.”

Newsflash to Democrats: no science affirms their concept of “gender identity” based on a person’s feelings.

There’s no standard even among homosexual advocacy groups, even according to their own definition. According to Human Rights Campaign, gender identity can be nothing or anything, (“One’s innermost concept of self as male, female, a blend of both or neither”) essentially, nothing. No definition= meaningless.

The concept of gender fluidity is designed to erase the factual reality and recognition of biology– and therefore from the law. Anyone could claim they are anything or anyone, opening everyone up to being sued for alleged sexual discrimination.

“If gender defines sex, the nation’s anti-discrimination laws will force agencies, civic organizations, and cultural groups to bar recognition of the partly-different and complementary preferences and attributes of males and females,” Breitbart News reports.

The 98 Democratic Representatives include Joe Kennedy (MA), John Yarmuth (KY), Elizabeth Esty and Joe Courtney (CT), Frank Pallone and Donald Norcross (NJ), Suzanne Bonamici (OR), Chellie Pingree (ME), Lloyd Doggett (TX), Sean Patrick Maloney and Brian Higgins (NY), Scott Peters (CA), Brendan Boyle and Robert Brady (PA), and 84 others.

Kennedy chairs the Transgender Equality Task Force in Congress.

Trump’s biology-determines-sex policy would preserve the nation’s existing law that recognizes men and women as legally equal while different. The Pentagon also dropped Obama’s pro-transgender policies, now using biology to determine service members’ sex status.

“You know what I’m doing? I’m protecting everybody,” Trump said October 22. “We have a lot of different concepts right now. They have a lot of different things happening with respect to transgender, right now.”

The 98 Democrats claim that men and women will lose legal protections if sex is determined by biology. They write:

This proposal intended to erase transgender people from federal civil rights protection and eviscerate enforcement of non-discrimination laws …  Under this proposal, it is possible for a transgender person to be denied access to medical care or health insurance or be refused access to emergency shelter or public housing, and transgender children could be denied access to public education … We demand a complete rejection of this shameless attempt to eliminate the rights of transgender people.

But they are wrong. Every person is already protected by anti-discrimination rules regardless of their personality, feelings, or biological sex.
