First, we need a little theme music for this post, so we’re going to call in our friends at Pentatonix to do the honors for us…

We’re more or less shutting things down for the holiday, so you’ll notice we’re not going to do a whole lot of original posts between now and Wednesday. That said, you’ll see some activity on the site – we’re going to be doing “Best of” reposts all next week. It’ll be an opportunity to catch up on some of the Hayride’s hits you may have missed.

And when we come back, we’ll have some news about the 2019 Hayride @Large Tour, which will get started on January 24 in Houma. Details to follow on that event and the 11 others we’ll be putting on in Louisiana – AND in Texas, as we’ll have tour dates in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas next year.

Also, look for a few new contributors to the site to be making debuts in the coming days, as we’re busy adding writers for a much more robust publication schedule in 2019.

But in the meantime, we’d like to wish you all a merry Christmas and to hope all of your holiday dreams come true. May you partake of much good cheer, reconnect with friends and family, have your spirit renewed and give and receive many gifts in the coming days!
