Hayride Radio – Monday, April 8, 2019: Ed Orgeron Endorses JBE

Over the weekend was the debut of Hayride Radio’s weekly hour-long podcast, with guests Stephen Waguespack of LABI and Louisiana House Speaker Taylor Barras – listen to that here.

But we’re not just doing a weekly podcast in this iteration of Hayride podcasts. Hayride Radio will also have short 15-20 sessions on a more daily basis from Monday through Thursday, and today’s podcast was the first of those.

Accordingly, in the first daily installment of Hayride Radio, Hosts Scott McKay and Brian Haldane talked about LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron introducing Governor John Bel Edwards at a fundraiser for the Governor – something which has brought on a good deal of reaction from practically everyone on the Republican side of the fence. At issue was whether or not it’s right for Coach Orgeron to speak at such an event, whether or not the appearance equates to an endorsement, and then there was a broader discussion of how it plays into a capital campaign that the University just launched last month which appears to be off to a rather slow start.
