On Thursday, Congressman Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) blasted Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee for forcing U.S. Attorney General William Barr to break the law. Johnson points out that the material that has been redacted in the Mueller Report is redacted under federal law. He also points out that much of the material is redacted due to its role in ongoing criminal investigations.
Johnson went on to accuse Democrats of “playing politics” by moving to hold Barr in contempt of Congress, despite the fact it was Democrats who broke off negotiations with Barr on testimony. Johnson’s attack on House Democrats lasted less than five minutes.
