President Trump yesterday signed an executive order entitled “Discharging the Federal Student Loan Debt of Totally and Permanently Disabled Veterans” which forgives all student loan debt for 100% disabled veterans of the United States armed forces.
That will include roughly 25,000 veterans with an average of around $30,000 in loan debt.
The 45th President made the announcement at the 75th American Veterans (AMVETS) National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky this week.

President Trump addressed a crowd of thousands of veterans,
“Veterans who have made such enormous sacrifices for our country should not be asked to pay anymore…”
“45” continued,
“Today I am proud to announce I will sign a presidential memorandum directing the department of education to eliminate every penny of federal student loan debt owed by American veterans who are completely and permanently disabled. We express the everlasting love and loyalty of a truly grateful nation. And because of you, America will forever remain the bravest, mightiest, and greatest nation on the face of the Earth.”
With all the talk from 2020 Democrats about forgiving all student loan debt, it is a refreshing dose of reality for President Trump to remind us who truly deserves a helping hand.
Nothing in this world is free but those who have been injured, scarred, and maimed in service to our country will find a generous nation more than willing to repay our debt to our brave heroes.
