New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is one of several key figures encouraging students to “live out your faith,” promoting a nationwide movement called, “Bring Your Bible to School Day.”

The annual event, held on Oct. 3, is organized by Focus on the Family.

Hundreds of thousands of students and their families will be celebrating freedom and faith on October 3.

The student-led movement is designed to help students share their faith in Jesus with their peers, not just on one day, but year-round.

It’s a year-long movement to empower students and their families to boldly live out their faith on campus and in the culture. For that reason, the motto for Bring Your Bible to School Day is “Bring It. Share It. Live It.” In keeping with that theme, for the first time this year we will introduce a “live your faith” initiative.

#LiveYourFaith will equip students and their families with monthly challenges—specific, tangible actions they can take to live out their faith at school and in the community throughout the year. In the weeks following the event, watch for these challenges that will provide fun and engaging ways to put your biblical faith into practice right where you live, as well as opportunities to share your experiences with our online community. Also to come in 2020: Digital tools and videos that parents and churches can use to equip and encourage the youth in their lives.

“It’s encouraging to know that God’s love is strengthening you, nationwide prayers are going with you and more than half a million others are doing the same thing at their schools,” the organization adds.

Students can register online to receive a “free guide with easy tips on how to get started, downloadable posters, sticker and T-shirt designs, information on your legal rights—as well as other fun, interactive activities.” The website has resources for teens, elementary school students, and pastors and teachers.

When they register they also enter for a chance to win a trip for four to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.
