The U.S. Department of Justice is moving to dismiss their charges against General Michael Flynn after last week’s revelations about FBI misconduct.

For his one count of making false statements to the FBI, federal prosecutors have moved to formally dismiss the charges against General Flynn.

The filing by the Justice Department in the U.S. District Court in Washington reads reads in part that the government “concluded that the interview of Mr. Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation… it is not persuaded that the January 24, 2017 interview was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis.”

The development means that Flynn, who requested to withdraw his guilty plea earlier this year, will be completely exonerated and his 2017 guilty plea will be vacated.

It is a good ending to a nightmare scenario for the decorated Lt. General who served his Country honorably for 33 years. But it may be just the beginning of bringing those responsible to justice.

President Trump has rightfully been harsh in his criticisms of the FBI, calling those involved “dirty cops” and “human scum” while adding that he does not rule our re-hiring General Flynn.

As a matter of fact, there are a lot of whispers going around that something “big” is about to happen which could mean indictments of former top FBI officials.

George Papadopolous for instance, who was one of the Trump associates ensnared in the fabricated “Russian collusion” probe which preceded the Mueller investigation, has been dropping big hints online tweeting as recently as yesterday, “Enjoy the show this week.”

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around the possible role played by former President Barack Obama in the debacle especially given that he specifically recommended to President Trump that he not hire General Flynn.

Attorney General Bill Barr clarified in a recent radio interview with Hugh Hewitt that special prosecutor John Durham could announce indictments before the presidential election adding that no candidate for President is currently included in the investigation.
