MARSH MAN MASSON: Speckled Trout Wouldn’t Stop Hitting This Redfish Bait!!

No one would ever think of speckled trout as bycatch, but on my most-recent trip, I ferried Ryan McVinney and Scott Sanders from the national television show Stomping Grounds into the marshes around Hopedale, La., and I really wanted to show these guys a big South Louisiana bull redfish.

The speckled trout, however, had other plans, and just wouldn’t leave one of my favorite redfish baits alone.
