Ban on Ranked-Choice-Voting in Louisiana Passes

Editor’s Note: Blake Miguez is the State Senator from District 22 and a founding member of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus. He’s also the author of SB 101, a bill which would proactively ban the introduction of Ranked Choice Voting, a terrible electoral system which has produced chaotic results in virtually every venue where it’s been applied. It is a George Soros/left-wing money machine attempting to foist this on unsuspecting jurisdictions around the country, which makes it zero surprise that the Soros-funded Louisiana Illuminator dropped a hit piece on Miguez and his bill earlier this month.

(From the Louisiana Freedom Caucus) — The Louisiana Freedom Caucus is happy to announce that SB101 by Sen. Blake Miguez, a bill prohibiting Ranked-Choice-Voting in Louisiana, has finally passed and is now headed for Gov. Jeff Landry’s desk for signature.

“With the passage of my bill, voters in Louisiana can rest assured that we will not abandon our one American citizen, one vote elections,” said Sen. Blake Miguez, founding member of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus. “The bill is now headed for Governor Jeff Landry’s desk where I’m confident he will sign the bill into law, making sure that every vote counts and our ballots are not trashed in a Ranked-Choice-Voting boondoggle. This is America! No one should ever be forced to vote for candidates that do not align with their political views just to have their ballots counted.”
