The government of Singapore is now distributing tens of thousands of tracking devices that look like small beepers to be able to track everywhere a person goes and who they interact with in the name of “safety.”
The contact tracing “tokens” have a small bluetooth device inside for people to use who do not have a smartphone or cannot use a contact tracing app that was already rolled out by the Singapore government.
Authorities argue the token helps the elderly and others “feel safer” (as opposed to going out normally living their lives.)
