For a freshman congressman, Rep. Allen West certainly seems to have a veteran’s grip on policy. If you’ve got 17 minutes to devote to this, it’s well worth your time to hear a guy who is both a Tea Party superstar and a high-level military leader. Most of all, though, watching West you get the idea that he understands the pursuit of America’s national interest infinitely better than the empty suits who make their way to the cable news channels every day.
