The Right might need to control its violent rhetoric, but for the MSNBC crowd there’s at least an outlet for politically-motivated aggression thanks to the people at Starving Eyes Advergaming. It’s a site called TeaPartyZombiesMustDie.com, and once there participants can take part in a shoot ’em up/carve ’em up  adventure through which proper lefties can kill their way through hordes of zombie Tea Partiers.

The game quickly takes players through the offices of Americans For Prosperity, where nondescript Tea Partiers can be dispatched with crowbars and shotguns, and then quickly progresses to Koch Industries offices where Glenn Beck lookalikes and freakish likenesses of the libertarian benefactors, along with “Koch Whore” porcine lobbyists and fluorescent green climate denier zombies are murdered by the dozen.

It goes from there, including zombies representing Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Brit Hume, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, Mike Huckabee and others can be slashed or shot.

Charming, it’s not. But if the game allows unhinged liberals an outlet to vent their frustrations, maybe it serves a purpose.

And besides, it’s a profit deal. They’re hoping for millions of hits and lots of ad dollars to follow.  And it’s hard not to give the benefit of the doubt to capitalists – even those of the crass variety.

But Starving Eyes also puts online games together for evil corporate clients like Meow Mix, Pepsi, TLC and Hotels.com, among others. When MRC got in touch with the company’s CEO Jason Oda, his response was “The game was just a personal project. I am not worried about it effecting business.”

Well, OK then.
