Winning a state outright over Donald Trump was considered impossible, but Ted Cruz proved it was doable. Oklahoma is a big win for the Texas Senator, who did win his home state. That draws more blood from Trump, who has been bleeding profusely over the course of this week. Having absolutely no wins, meanwhile, is Marco Rubio, who Cruz will probably call on tonight to drop out of the race.
If you look at the numbers by the end of the night, you’re probably going to see that Trump is beating Not Trump about 55-45, which is actually good for Not Trump. Inevitability is king in politics until it is not. The same can be said of Donald Trump. It looked like a sweep of the southern states for the real estate
con artist mogul until tonight.
If Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich stay in, then we’re looking at a very contested convention in July.
