This Is How You Can Help Teachers And Students Affected By Flooding

The Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana is organizing a drive to help students and teachers that have been affected by the flooding. The organization is raising money to help teachers.

An an email sent to The Hayride, A+PEL Executive Director Dr. Keith Courville claims that every penny donated with go directly to teachers. They’re able to cover all organizational costs through regular membership dues.

So far, there are 200 requests for classroom materials that have been sent in to A+PEL. If you’re a teacher in a declared disaster area who needs supplies, A+PEL wants you to send them a request through this link.

The people of Louisiana and around the country have stepped up admirably. Let’s do it again, this time for the children.
