We couldn’t resist the above photo. Somebody used that Google Gigapixel app of the presidential inauguration and found Johnson, Louisiana’s new congressman from the 4th District, suffering in the rain at the inauguration ceremony, and then posted it on Facebook to give him a hard time.

And of course we thought we’d pile on.

Johnson had a decent comeback, though…

Johnson has had some better moments in Washington since his swearing in, of course. On Monday he had a turn at presiding over the House, which is an honor – well, OK, it’s more like a pain in the rear end that the veteran House members inflict on the rookies, but for first-timers it’s still a thrill – that almost none of us will ever have…

Still, nothing so far has been more entertaining than that shot of him fending off the raindrops. And at the rate things are going, that might be the worst moment of his freshman term in the House. If it turns out that way, Johnson can’t really complain.
