…we’re only a few hours away from a whole new look to the Hayride’s web site, one which we think will satisfy a number of concerns our readers have shared with us (and with which we have agreed).
It’s going to be a good bit cleaner layout than the current site theme.
It’ll look a lot better for mobile viewing.
The ads will populate a lot better on each page, which will improve the site’s download (and function a little better in terms of generating revenue for us, too).
Plus we’ve got some bells and whistles but internally and externally which will facilitate our growth. Most notably in this respect, as we expand and pick up writers and editors in other states outside Louisiana our content will be better accessible to folks to whom it’s relevant. For example, if you’re in Texas and you come to the site’s homepage you’re going to see Texas content, not Louisiana content. Not that you can’t find stuff from outside the state you’re in; it’s just that we’ll be able to deliver a relevant experience to our folks where they are.
And the logo is going to look a little different…
So over the weekend, be on the lookout for a Hayride that looks a lot different than the one you see now. We’ve been threatening to make this change for a while, and it’s finally almost here.
