We all knew that this Trump-Russia collusion thing was a manufactured, false narrative, right? Well, CNN certainly did. But as a Project Veritas sting video released yesterday indicates, the cable news network continued to push a media narrative it knew was false.
From the YouTube caption of the video from journalistic entrepreneur James O’Keefe’s organization…
In the recent video footage obtained by Project Veritas, John Bonifield a Sr. Producer at CNN, admits to several beliefs that are in direct conflict with the official CNN narrative that Trump has colluded with Russia, and that Russia has interfered with the 2016 election. Bonifield expresses clear doubts that there is a fire behind the Russia smoke, stating, “I haven’t seen any good enough evidence to show that the President committed a crime.” He also confirms suspicions that CNN staff is ideologically biased against Trump, stating, “I know a lot of people don’t like him and they’d like to see him get kicked out of office…”
Bonifield even further confirms CNN’s bias against the President, stating, “I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me…you have no real proof.”
Bonifield exposes that Russia has been great for CNN’s ratings, and that orders from CEO Jeff Zucker himself have directed CNN to pursue Russia leads at the expense of other stories. Bonifield states “And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said ‘good job everybody covering the Climate Accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia.’”
He further comments on Russia, “it’s mostly bullshit right now. Like, we don’t have any giant proof…if it was something really good, it’d leak.”
Following the release of the Project Veritas video, which is apparently only the first part of O’Keefe’s expose of CNN, the network put this out…
“CNN stands by our medical producer John Bonifield. Diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong, we welcome it and embrace it.”
If that isn’t an example of throwing one’s hands up in the face of nothing else to say, we don’t know what is. CNN admitted the video is legitimate. Bonifield’s statements were made to an undercover Project Veritas journalist who had posed as a student participating in a mentorship program; he wasn’t aware there was a sting operation in place and his loose lips largely gave away the network’s cynical clickbait mentality.

Last night after the video was released, Tucker Carlson had Sharryl Atkisson on his show to discuss the development of the Trump-Russia meme and the other recent development along those lines; specifically the resignation of three CNN reporters who published a since-retracted piece alleging that the Senate Intelligence Committee is investigating Trump associate Anthony Scaramucci for having met with a Russian oligarch…
