Armed Church Members Stop Shooting In Texas (VIDEO)

(White Settlement, Texas) – A gunman was positioned to kill scores of Christians at a Sunday morning church service over the weekend near Ft. Worth, Texas when two armed citizens fired back, hitting and killing the man.

In just a few seconds, two congregants were sadly killed before the threat was eliminated but it surely would have been much worse if not for the heroic actions of two armed civilians.

Police were called to the West Freeway Church of Christ around 10 AM after the two heroes who serve on the church’s volunteer security team returned fire and eliminated the threat. Remarkably, three more congregants approached the fallen attacker with guns drawn.

The Church’s Senior Pastor Britt Farmer said,

“We lost two great men today, but it could have been a lot worse, and I am thankful our government has allowed us the opportunity to protect ourselves.”

Jack Wilson, who is being credited with taking out the gunman, happens to be a firearms instructor and had the following to say:

“The events at West Freeway Church of Christ put me in a position that I would hope no one would have to be in, but evil exists and I had to take out an active shooter in church. I am very sad in the loss of two dear friends and brothers in CHRIST, but evil does exist in this world and I and other members are not going to allow evil to succeed.”

The shooter has been identified as Keith Thomas, 43 and the FBI is investigating his motive.

Had the shooting ended more deadly, the media would be all over this story and pushing their anti-gun narrative but due to the “pro-gun” nature of the outcome, they are largely ignoring it.

Republican lawmakers are celebrating state law that allows concealed carry holders to carry their weapon in “places of worship”. Democrats are repeating their calls for stricter gun laws.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott released the following statement:

“Places of worship are meant to be sacred, and I am grateful for the church members who acted quickly to take down the shooter and prevent further loss of life.”

We thank God for the protection of life, the preparedness of West Freeway Church of Christ and the bravery of the two church security team members.

“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.” ~ Luke 22:36
