It’s Thanksgiving Week, And We’re Powering Down Here At The Hayride

A bit of housekeeping here, because we don’t want our readers to feel like we at The Hayride are abandoning you for the next few days.

We don’t want you to feel that way, though we really are going to abandon you. But not completely, and not for all that long. You’ll still see posts here and there on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but we won’t be back to our regular publication schedule until next week when the holiday is over.

You’ll be able to catch regular, or at least semi-regular, updates from our correspondents at The Speakeasy. We’re closing in on 1,000 members there; if you haven’t signed up, you probably should. Get a free preview of it before it becomes a subscription app next month.

Today’s Nooner email blast will be the last one of the week, also.

Next week we’ll be focusing on the three big runoff elections in Louisiana, the ongoing legal fight over the failed presidential election which looks like it’s going to get hotter rather than die down as the corporate legacy media would like it to, and we’ll keep following the COVID-19 insanity which seems to be getting worse around the country despite the pretty obvious science showing that shutdowns and mask mandates don’t stop the virus. This is going to likely come to a head in Louisiana as soon as Thanksgiving is over.

And of course we’re going to be touting developments at The Speakeasy, which is ultimately going to be a lot better way to do social media.

We’ll be finishing the year with a bang rather than a whimper. 2020 hasn’t beaten us yet, and we’re determined that it won’t. We hope you feel the same way.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. Stay strong. Celebrate our heritage and history this week without fear. We certainly will.
