MARSH MAN MASSON: This Spot In The Marsh Held Fish!

Whenever you plan a fishing trip, you go over in your head what you expect to do on the water, i.e. where you’ll go, what you’ll throw and what you think you’ll catch. But as Mike Tyson once famously said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”

Sometimes the conditions give us that plan-altering knuckle sandwich, and as such, being able to shift on the fly is critical to successful fishing.

That’s what I had to do on my most recent trip into the South Louisiana marsh, when an expected rising tide was delayed by an unexpected west wind.
