You’ll watch this report from KARD-TV in Monroe about the mayor of the small Tensas Parish town of St. Joseph, and you’ll be tempted to conclude that we’ve hit Peak Political Correctness.
And perhaps you’re right. Hopefully you are. In our experience these things can always get worse, but it’s tough to get dumber than this…
Black-Eyed Susans are just flowers. They don’t know what they’re called. And “N-head” is not their official name, nor has it been used to name that flower in decades.
But apparently, the garden club in St. Joseph wanted to plant a bunch of them along the Mississippi River levee in order to give it some character – and the mayor took that as a racial affront.
Some of this is small-town politics born of boredom.
But most of it is a giant mountain of dumbass.
