Day 2 of qualifying began this morning. Yesterday saw the qualification of most of your big names running for office. Today is going to be more of a lower key as more no-names decide to enter big races.

LA-SEN: Rob Maness campaign manager John Mathis told The Hayride that Maness will qualify tomorrow morning.
LA-03: Clay Higgins is in Cleveland for the GOP convention. We can assume he’ll qualify tomorrow as well.
LA-04: The only big name we’re waiting on is Mike Johnson. He’s still in state so I’m not sure what they’re waiting on.
Baton Rouge Mayor: “Smokie” Bourgeois, despite being outspent $43,000 to $4,800, nearly defeated John Delgado four years ago, so he decided to run against Delgado again. This time for Mayor of Baton Rouge.
