Here’s the Eventbrite link to buy tickets to the tour stop in Covington tonight. Go ahead and click it and get that taken care of – we still have some left.
Tickets are $80, and they include dinner and an open bar, and access to a pretty good lineup of speakers. They’ll still be available online until 11 a.m., and then after that a few will be available at the door for $100.
It’s better to buy them online now, we think, and we trust you’ll agree.
The lineup of speakers is a good one. We have Louisiana Treasurer John Schroder, LAGOP Chairman Louis Gurvich, State Sen. Conrad Appel and State Rep. Mark Wright, and the theme is, as the name of the tour suggests, truth and consequences. We’ll be talking about the state of Louisiana and its politics, and how we got where we are, what it means for us, and how we fix it.
If you’ve read Appel’s posts on the subject at The Hayride, you’ll know he’s got a lot to say on that subject – all of it quite incisive. Schroder is quite outspoken on the subject as well. You might not quite know as much about the perspectives of Gurvich and Wright, but we do – and we’re excited to put them on display for our audience.
But it’s also going to be an evening of fun and fellowship. The event, which will be held at the Clarion Inn & Suites Conference Center at I-12 and Causeway, will begin with a 6:00 cocktail hour and dinner and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
Again, here’s the link to buy tickets. Grab yours quickly – and we’ll see you in Covington tonight!
