An economic boycott to protest the death of Alton Sterling, who was allegedly shot by Baton Rouge police officers in the midst of an altercation, has just been expanded by the NAACP, Nation of Islam and Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
The economic boycott was originally scheduled just for the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, a plan that was pushed by Nation of Islam spokesman Abdul Rashid Muhammad, as the Hayride reported.
But, now the boycott will include the Cortana Mall and all Wal-Mart stories in and outside Baton Rouge.
There is no connection, however, to the Mall of Louisiana, Cortana Mall or Wal-Mart store and Sterling’s death.
